CyberM stands for Cyber, Media and Mind and reflects its focus on the full spectrum of security in the information environment, including the protection of systems and data, as well as the human layer — attention, trust, reasoning and decision-making — where communication, psychology and cybersecurity converge.

What began in 2017 as a journalistic space for cybersecurity awareness has evolved into a research-focused cognitive security project, informed by its creator’s PhD examining influence dynamics in digitally mediated environments.

In an era shaped by persuasive technologies, artificial intelligence, and information warfare, CyberM explores the engineering of influence, the propagation of threats through media ecosystems, and how individuals and organisations can cultivate cognitive security and cyber resilience.
